I decided to spend a bit more and get something proper and it was so worth it. This piece of kit is really study and great for filming. Its features such as the different lighting, phone charging, remote etc., are really nice touches.
I bought this ring light because I make online contents for Youtube and I need a strong but not bulky light. With this purchase I can give decent light to my small office, to my videos and photos.The lamp is bigger than my head and it is made of sturdy plastic (older versions were more fragile than this). The light can be warm, medium cold or cold and you can decide the intensity either by using the buttons on the lamp or by using the appropriate remote control, included in the package.The light stands on a quite stable tripod. You can screw a phone or a camera in the middle of the lamp. I have a fairly heavy Nikon with a lens, and I can assure you that the lamp does not tip over, nor does the tripod move. A professional tripod is certainly more robust in terms of material – as well as costing the same as a ring light – but unless you want to kick the lamp while using it, it is unlikely to fall on its own.The light is turned on by means of a cable that must be attached to the socket, the cable is not very long, but nothing prevents you from using extension cords, if you need more space.
Item came defective. Clearly it had been returned by someone before. Didn¡¯t work.
